Parent-Teacher Conferences: This Sunday and the next!
We are about half way through with the academic year at the Chicago Persian school which means it's time for the parent-teacher conferences.  During the next two Sundays, teachers will meet with you and provide you with the mid-year evaluation forms and progress report.

By now, you should have received an email from the class teacher with a link to an online 10-minute meeting signup for your preferred time slot. Please make sure you respond to that email, before this Sunday.  During the conferences, teachers will update you about your son/daughter's academic performance, challenges, strengths, as well as suggestions for improvement.  This would be a good time for parents to communicate any concerns with the teacher.

Recruiting Talents for the CPS Talent Show Extravaganza:
May 17, 2015

They say that "هنر نزد ایرانیان است و بس honar nazdeh Iranian ast o bas!"
That is why we are writing to recruit all the talent in our community for our Second Annual End of the Year Chicago Persian School Talent Show Extravaganza, on the last day of our academic year: May 17, 2015.  We hope to use this forum to show case the talents of the children, parents and teachers of our School Community.  To that end, please start planing now!

If you, or your child/student have/has a talent that can be communicated in Persian, we would love to include that talent in our show.  For instance, if you or your child plays an instrument or recites a Persian poem fluently, we would love to include him/her in the talent show as long as he/she is well versed in that instrument or song and as long as the piece is Persian.

Auditions will be held on April 12, 2015.  So start practicing, please.  We cannot wait to see what talents you have been cultivating!
You can see videos and pictures from our last year Talent Show Extravaganza at our school Facebook page.
