green-white-red in honor of Iran's flag

Suggestion: Keep it simple and do not bring flags to school

Teachers will explain about the meaning of each color in our flag during the class time on Sunday.

Note: The date was chosen because it is close to the Mehregarn celebration according to Iranian calendar, which is translated as the "National Day of Love".  Color-of-Flag day at CPS is just a symbolic gesture of showing our love to our country.

Summer Tutoring:
Do you need summer Persian language tutoring?  We can help you by recommending teachers.  Contact us at info@chicagopersianschool.org

To All CPS Students: Don't let the Farsi skip you!
Like any other language, if you don't practice Farsi during summer you will regress! Summer is busy but with little planning, you might be able to fit in just enough practice that would keep you in good shape for the next academic year.

Here are some suggestions:

Read (for all ages)
International Children's Digital Library: An amazing inventory of online Farsi story
books for various ages and language proficiency
  Listen (age 4-10)
Ban-Ben-Bon website: Listen to Persian kids songs online

  Play and Practice (age 4-9)
Farsi Language Learning Games: practice your numbers, colors, names of fruits, animals, and objects in Farsi

Watch, Listen, and Practice (age 12 to adults)
University of Texas at Austin, Persian Program: use this comprehensive open "Farsi learning" resource for practicing your listening skills, writing, and comprehension (highly recommended for non-heritage learners)
